Tucked in a small clearing in the forest conveniently next to the main facilities at Camp Rock Enon lies the camp site of Indian village . Traditionally this particular campsite has been settled by troop 33, when the offer to adopt this campsite was made troop 33 jumped on it. There are several maintenance issues that have been overlooked for many years and several improvements that we wanted to make. So that’ s why this year our troop decided to adopt this campsite, as an added bonus we will have the first choice of weeks for summer camp.

The labor we did at the camp was the kind of hard repetitive back breaking busy work that you had to do by hand. The chores consisted of raking up leaves from the forest floor and discarding them in a gigantic leaf pile ,repairing the tattered latrine roof, painting tiles for the latrine roof ,campsite clean up as well as the other various duties associated with camping .Over all the experience was hard and tedious but worthwhile and there was always some spare time at the end of the day for passing the Frisbee or playing a game of football. And when the work was all done we looked upon our accomplishments in awe knowing that a little boy scout diligence and teamwork could get the job done safely and effectively.
